Mohammad Ali Arafat, the State Minister for Information and Broadcasting, paid a visit to the training center of the De-suung Skilling Programme (DSP) inaugurated in Thimphu in 2021 under the directives of Bhutanese King Jigme Khesar Namgyel Wangchuck.

As per an official release, Arafat visited the training center situated at Taba in Thimphu, the capital city of Bhutan, on Friday.

Upon his arrival, the authorities of the training center extended a warm welcome to Mohammad Ali Arafat and provided him with an overview of the ongoing skill and capacity development initiatives known as the 'De-suung Programme' and the 'De-suung Skilling Programme (DSP)' in Bhutan.

During his visit, the state minister toured the training facility and observed the handicrafts showcased at various workshops including ceramics, metal smithing, and sword and blade workshops.

Currently in Bhutan at the invitation of King Jigme Khesar Namgyel Wangchuck, Mohammad Ali Arafat is expected to conclude his visit and return home tomorrow.

The DSP aims to empower youth through specialized training, enabling them to lead meaningful and prosperous lives. The program offers batch-wise training in various areas such as networking, web development, e-commerce, carpentry, woodworks, lighting, and electrical work.
