Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has extended heartfelt greetings to the nation on the occasion of Pohela Boishakh, the Bengali New Year, urging unity and collective efforts towards a brighter future.

In a video message shared on Friday, she conveyed, "Assalamualaikum, the New Year has once again dawned upon us, marking the arrival of Bangla Year 1431. I extend warm greetings to all brothers and sisters, both at home and abroad, on the auspicious occasion of Shuvo Noboborsho."

With Pohela Boishakh festivities set to take place on Sunday, the Prime Minister called upon everyone to leave behind past setbacks, sorrows, and hardships, emphasizing the importance of collective action in shaping a promising future.

Quoting poet Sufia Kamal, she concluded her message, urging individuals to embrace the new dawn of the new year, symbolizing a fresh beginning and hopeful outlook.
