At 9 PM on Monday, Bangladesh achieved a significant milestone in its energy production history, reaching a record high of 16,233 megawatts (MW) of electricity. This achievement was confirmed by Mir Mohammad Aslam Uddin, the Senior Information Officer of the Ministry of Power, Energy, and Mineral Resources, in a press release.

The announcement emphasized the context of a severe heatwave prevailing across the country. Despite these challenging conditions, the power sector has been working diligently to ensure uninterrupted electricity supply, prioritizing public welfare.

It's noteworthy that the previous record of 15,666MW was set just a day earlier, on Sunday.
