In the ongoing struggle between the ethnic rebels and the state junta troops inside Myanmar, 287 people—including the BGP—took sanctuary in Bangladesh in order to escape for their lives. The BGP members who sought safety in Bangladesh following the Inani Navy jetty attack in Cox's Bazar are scheduled to be turned over to the Myanmar government on Thursday, April 25, according to BGB.
 
An additional 287 junta members, including 177 who passed the Jamchari Border Pillar in Naikshyongchari Sadar at 45 places, were reportedly spotted in person, according to sources.
 
BGB representatives said that tomorrow, Thursday, April 25, the 287 refugees would be transported to Myanmar by a naval ship.
