It highlighted the absence of recognition for Bangladesh's efforts to address orchestrated campaigns aimed at disrupting public order, particularly during the 12th National Elections. The government expressed disappointment at the report's portrayal of lawful actions taken by law enforcement agencies as excessive, emphasizing their professionalism in maintaining public safety.

Furthermore, the statement underscored discrepancies in the report regarding Rohingya refugees and ethnic minority groups, questioning the characterization of certain incidents without considering substantive evidence. It also raised concerns about the report's portrayal of labor rights issues, trade union activities, and judicial proceedings, urging a more balanced perspective.
