The BCL campaign is part of a larger movement that supports justice and peace for Palestinian citizens, and it is in line with international efforts to put an end to ongoing injustices and killings.

On Monday, witnessed the biggest demonstrations in support of Palestinian independence take place at Bangladeshi colleges, as student movements throughout the world gain pace.

The Bangladesh Students' League (BSL) organised the gathering, which was a major show of support against the atrocities committed by Israeli soldiers.

The national flags of Palestine and Bangladesh were hoisted in unison during the protests, which were taking place concurrently on many campuses after 11 a.m. Thousands of kids attended the ceremony, demonstrating the strong support that BSL's proposal has received.

The Raju sculpture served as the focal point of the solidarity ceremony at Dhaka University, where the general secretary and president of the BSL central section gave statements. Students made a stronger appeal to action by carrying banners and posters throughout campus that said, "Free Palestine, stop the genocide."

The Palestinian anthem opened the gathering at Dhaka University, followed by a number of songs that represented the battle for Palestinian liberation. The event was hosted by BSL General Secretary Sheikh Wali Asif Inan and featured talks by Palestinian students as well as representatives of other BSL groups.

BSL President Saddam Hussain used his platform to highlight the situation of the people in Gaza and to beg activists, student leaders, and the student body to stand up for oppressed populations throughout the world. Speaking of the campaign's global reach, he said, "This movement has transcended national borders, uniting diverse languages, cultures, and races in a collective demand for a peaceful world."

Issaq Nomura, a Palestinian student studying in Bangladesh, thanked the Bangladeshi students for their persistent support. In a moving speech, he described the Palestinian people's seventy-five years of unrelenting persecution and charged Israeli troops with genocide and other violations of human rights against defenceless civilians.

Regarding the global surge of student-led movements inspired by Columbia University, Nomura continued, "We remember the three hundred thousand Palestinian students in Gaza who are barred from their educational pursuits by the brutal tactics of the Israeli occupation forces."

President Hussain of BSL denounced the backing Israel gets from several nations, alleging that these nations provide financial and armaments support that inflame the war. "The fire of protest ignites in nations backing Israel with weapons and financial assistance used to perpetrate violence in Gaza," he said with conviction.

Hussain highlighted comparisons between the historical and contemporary independence battles in a poignant closing statement, citing Bangladesh's own experiences in 1971. "We recognise the immense consequences of genocide and the unwavering aspiration for liberty that motivates individuals to resist oppression," he proclaimed, advocating for global accountability against Israel and its associates as war criminals.

Not alone was the capital host to the activities. There were also notable turnouts at prestigious universities such as Shah Azizul Haque College in Bogura, Mymensingh's Agricultural University, Jahangirnagar University, Chittagong University, Cumilla University, Rajshahi University, and Shahjalal University of Science and Technology.

Major media sites aired the rallies live, garnering support and attention around the country. The news got out thanks to this media coverage, which also received praise from a variety of sources.

In line with Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, the founding father of Bangladesh, "The world is divided into two camps, the oppressed and the oppressors." I stand with the oppressed," BCL declared, reiterating its dedication to justice.

A press statement that drew historical comparisons between the current state of affairs in Palestine and the genocide that occurred during Bangladesh's 1971 Liberation War served to underscore this attitude even more.

The statement reaffirmed Bangladesh's long-standing stance towards international peace and solidarity against human rights violations, as well as the government's continuous support for Palestinian independence under the direction of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina.

The BCL campaign is part of a larger movement that supports justice and peace for Palestinian citizens, and it is in line with international efforts to put an end to ongoing injustices and killings.
