"Recipients expressed gratitude to Qatar Charity and its supporters for their consistent support"

Gas cylinders have been given to the Rohingya refugees in Bhasan Char by Qatar Charity, with the help of Qatari philanthropists, as fresh aid to ease the burden of everyday cooking for the 32,400 refugees living on the island.

According to a news release on Saturday, Qatar Charity is continuing its intervention that helped almost 100,000 refugees last year in collaboration with UNHCR, a UN refugee organization.

The Rohingya families, who have been residing on this island 60 kilometers from the mainland since 2021, have received fresh help for January and February.

Additionally, Qatar Charity offers assistance with stove repairs for their cooking appliances. Every month, some 800 families benefit from this support.

The recipients expressed gratitude to Qatar Charity and its supporters for their consistent support.

Over the past three years, 550,000 people have benefited from QC's relief efforts in Bhasan Char. It fulfilled their basic requirements by giving them both food and non-food assistance.
