This year marks the 30th anniversary of the International Conference on Population and Development (ICPD). The global dialogue covered various topics such as intergenerational well-being, healthy aging, gender equality, sexual and reproductive health, demographic resilience, and the impact of climate change on population dynamics. Around 200 representatives from governments, academia, think tanks, civil society organizations, and the private sector participated, sharing insights into addressing demographic trends and promoting sustainable development. Foreign Minister Dr. Hasan Mahmud, UNFPA Executive Director Dr. Natalia Kanem, and other dignitaries also spoke at the event, emphasizing the importance of addressing demographic challenges for a sustainable future.
