Bangladesh Railway will begin selling advance train tickets for travelers heading home before Eid-ul-Azha starting this Sunday, aiming to ensure a smooth journey during the holidays.

Railways Minister Md Zillul Hakim announced this at a press conference held at Rail Bhaban in Dhaka on Tuesday.

"Bangladesh Railway will operate 10 pairs of special trains, and all tickets will be sold online," he stated.

Ticket sales for west-bound trains will commence at 8 am, while tickets for east-bound trains will be available starting at 2 pm.

Tickets for journeys on June 12 will go on sale this Sunday. Subsequently, tickets for travel on June 13, 14, 15, and 16 will be available on June 3, 4, 5, and 6, respectively.
