Launch services on inland waterways from Dhaka resumed at 12pm on Tuesday after the Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD) withdrew the warning signal following the weakening of Cyclone Remal's impact.

Ehteshamul Parvez, Public Relations Officer of the Bangladesh Inland Water Transport Authority (BIWTA), confirmed the resumption in a press release.

The launch services had been suspended by the Shipping Ministry on all routes from 10pm on Sunday due to Cyclone Remal, which had intensified from a deep depression over the east-central Bay and adjoining west-central Bay.
