Bhutan has lowered the fees for Bangladeshi tourists, according to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
The Royal Government of Bhutan’s Department of Tourism announced a revised policy for Bangladeshi visitors.
Bangladeshi tourists will now only pay $15 as a Sustainable Development Fee (SDF), matching the fee for Indian tourists.
Under this new policy, up to 15,000 Bangladeshi tourists can visit Bhutan annually at the reduced rate of $15.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs highlighted the strong bilateral relations between Bangladesh and Bhutan, which have strengthened under Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina’s leadership.
The new visa policy took effect on Sunday.
