Land June-6,(V7N Dhaka)- Land Minister Narayon Chandra Chanda announced that a weeklong 'Land Service Week 2024' will commence nationwide from June 8 to June 14, 2024, aiming to raise awareness about smart land services and encourage the public to utilize online services. The theme for this year is 'Smart Land Service, Smart Citizen.' The minister emphasized that conscientious citizens are indeed smart citizens.
 
The announcement was made during a press conference held today (June 6, 2024) at the conference room of Bhumi Bhaban in Tejgaon, Dhaka. Land Secretary Md Khalilur Rahman, Chairman of Land Appeal Board AKM Shamimul Haque Siddique, Chairman of Land Reform Board Md Abdus Sabur Mondal, and Director-General of Land Record and Survey Department Anis Mahmud were also present.
 
During the 'Land Service Week 2024', various services will be provided, including assistance with e-mutation application, distribution of compensation checks for settled LA cases, online application processing for certified copies of Records of Rights, immediate provision of these copies, delivery of online Mouzamap through the postal department, public hearings on ongoing field-level survey operations, handling objections/appeals, and records management.
 
Service booths will be established at district and upazila level land offices staffed with officers to directly address queries from service recipients. Additionally, for the first time, eight specially equipped vehicles in eight divisions will offer mobile smart land services. Furthermore, the minister mentioned the distribution of an easy-to-understand book on land services titled 'Bhumi Amar Thikana.'
