Dhaka, July 24 (V7N) - Bangladesh Law Minister Anisul Huq announced on Tuesday, (July 23) that the government has issued a gazette notification implementing reforms to the quota system in accordance with court rules.

"All demands put forward have been accepted by the government," stated Huq. "Reforms to the quota system have been enacted, and a judicial investigation committee has been established to probe incidents of violence during the protests. The government will cover the medical expenses of injured students, withdraw cases based on information, and work to restore normalcy in educational institutions."

Regarding remaining student demands, the law minister affirmed, "The government has fully accepted their requests. I urge students to return to their respective activities."

Huq cautioned against attempts by vested interests to alter the trajectory of the quota reform movement, attributing exploitation of the situation to BNP-Jamaat. "Despite this, the government has honored the students' demands," he added.

"If any group attempts to disrupt law and order," Huq warned, "the government will take strict action."

He expressed optimism about lifting the curfew once conditions improve and anticipated the prompt reopening of all educational institutions.
