In a crucial address, Army Chief General Waker-Uz-Zaman announced the formation of an interim government, which will subsequently seek approval from the President. He emphasized that violence and destruction would yield no positive outcomes.

General Zaman assured that every death would be thoroughly investigated, and justice would prevail. “We engaged in constructive discussions with all stakeholders, resulting in the Prime Minister’s resignation,” he stated.

Calling for unity, the army chief expressed confidence in resolving the crisis collectively. He underscored the Army’s responsibility in swiftly restoring order.

Notably, the meeting did not include any representatives from the Awami League, as confirmed by the Army Chief.
