The South Korean government has expressed optimism that the establishment of Bangladesh’s interim government will swiftly bring about the restoration of peace and stability in the country.

South Korea is also keen to strengthen Korea-Bangladesh relations by working closely with the new interim administration.

These sentiments were shared by the spokesperson of the Korean Ministry of Foreign Affairs in an official statement.

The interim government in Bangladesh was formed on August 8, following a mass uprising that led to the resignation of Sheikh Hasina as Prime Minister on August 5.
