Law enforcers have recovered 715 arms looted from police stations, police lines, police outposts, and other locations, according to a message from Police Headquarters on Saturday.

Additionally, 18,512 rounds of bullets, 1,118 tear gas shells, and 70 sound grenades have been recovered so far.

A large number of arms and ammunition were looted from police stations and other protected zones following attacks on law enforcers before and after August 5.

The Bangladesh Army has also been working to recover looted arms and ammunition alongside the police.

The police headquarters message noted that no arms or ammunition would remain outside official custody and that law enforcers are committed to recovering every stolen weapon and bullet.

The police, along with the military, are conducting operations across the country to recover these looted arms and ammunition.

Earlier, Inspector General of Police (IGP) Chowdhury Abdullah Al Mamun stated that law enforcers would retrieve all looted arms and ammunition.
