Dhaka, Sept 5 (V7N): Science and Technology Affairs Adviser Dr. Salehuddin Ahmed has asserted that the government will ensure no public funds are wasted in the future.

Speaking at a meeting with departmental heads under the Ministry of Science and Technology, Dr. Salehuddin highlighted that the government has requested $3 billion in financial assistance from the International Monetary Fund (IMF). He emphasized the importance of preventing misuse of this aid, noting past instances of financial waste. "Public money will no longer be squandered," he stated.

Dr. Salehuddin stressed the crucial role of science and technology in national development, asserting that meaningful progress depends on the effective application of scientific research.

He urged officials to focus on expediting the country's development efforts.

The meeting was also attended by Senior Secretary of the Ministry of Science and Technology, Md Mokabbir Hossain.
