Dhaka, Sep 15 (V7N) – The United States Agency for International Development (USAID) has announced a grant of $202.25 million to Bangladesh, aimed at enhancing Good Governance, Social, Human and Economic Opportunity, and Resilience.

This funding is part of the 6th amendment of the Development Objective Grant Agreement (DOAG), which was signed today at the State Guest House Padma. The agreement was signed by AKM Shahabuddin, Additional Secretary of the Economic Relations Division, Ministry of Finance, and Reed J. Aeschliman, USAID Mission Director, on behalf of their respective governments.

The DOAG, initially signed on September 27, 2021, covers the period from 2021 to 2026, with USAID committed to contributing a total of $954 million. So far, $425 million has been provided under the previous amendments.
