Dhaka, Sep 19 (V7N) – According to the Bangladesh Meteorological Department, a mild heat wave is expected to persist over several regions of the country. The heat wave is currently affecting the districts of Tangail, Kishoreganj, and Naogaon, as well as the Rangpur, Mymensingh, and Sylhet divisions, and may continue over the next 24 hours.

The forecast, issued at 6 p.m. on Wednesday, also noted a slight decrease in day temperatures in the southern parts of the country, while northern regions are likely to see little change. Night temperatures are expected to rise slightly across the country.

In addition, the Meteorological Department predicted light to moderate rain or thundershowers with gusty winds in several areas. Many locations in the Barisal, Chittagong, and Sylhet divisions, along with a few places in Mymensingh, Dhaka, and Khulna divisions, are expected to experience rainfall. Rajshahi and Rangpur divisions may also see rain in two places, with moderate to heavy rainfall in some areas of the country.

Residents in affected regions are advised to take necessary precautions against the heat and stay updated with the latest weather forecasts.
