Dhaka, Sep 23 (V7N) – The Ministry of Shipping has announced that it will refrain from initiating any projects influenced by political considerations, according to Shipping Adviser Brigadier General (retd) M Sakhawat Hossain.

During a visit to various development initiatives at Payra Seaport, Sakhawat, who also serves as the adviser for textiles and jute, engaged in a discussion with journalists. He affirmed, "The implementation of all ongoing projects at Payra Seaport will proceed as planned."

He emphasized that the shipping ministry is prioritizing the overall development and advancement of Payra Seaport in its operations.

The meeting was attended by additional secretary of the Ministry of Shipping, Sanjay Kumar Bonik, Payra Port Authority Chairman Rear Admiral Abdullah Al Mamun, and Project Director of Payra Seaport Commodore Rajib Tripura.
