Bangladesh Receives $1,996.85 Million Remittances in March

According to data from the Bangladesh Bank (BB), expatriate Bangladeshis sent approximately $1,996.85 million in remittances during March of the fiscal year 2024-25.

State-owned banks accounted for $261.77 million of this total, while 43 private sector banks brought in $1,691.70 million in remittances.

The highest amount of remittance, totaling $491.79 million, was channeled through Islami Bank Bangladesh PLC. Following closely, state-owned Agrani Bank PLC brought in $148.75 million, securing the second position, while private commercial lender BRAC Bank PLC stood third with $125.23 million.
