Within a span of 24 hours, the Bangladesh Jeweller's Association (Bajus) has reduced gold prices.

The price of gold has been lowered by Tk2,500 per bhori, with the new rate set at Tk1,14,190 for one bhori (11.664 grams) of high-quality 22-carat gold, effective from 4:50 pm on Wednesday. This marks a decrease from the previous rate of Tk1,16,290.

This adjustment, the seventh in April, was announced by Masudur Rahman, Chairman of the Price Determination and Price Monitoring Standing Committee of Bajus.

Other categories of gold also saw price adjustments, with 21-carat gold priced at Tk1,09,00 per bhori, 18-carat gold at Tk93,428 per bhori, and traditional method gold set at Tk75,209.

In contrast, silver prices remain unchanged, with rates set at Tk2,100 for 22-carat silver, Tk2,006 for 21-carat, Tk1,715 for 18-carat, and Tk1,283 for traditional silver.
