Twenty industrial units in Bangladesh have been honored with the ‘President’s Industrial Development Award-2021’ for their exceptional contributions to the national economy. The awards were presented by Industries Minister Nurul Majid Mahmud Humayun at a ceremony held at the Osmani Memorial Auditorium. The event was attended by Agriculture Minister Dr. Md Abdus Shahid and Federation of Bangladesh Chambers of Commerce and Industries (FBCCI) President Mahbubul Alam.

During his speech, Minister Humayun emphasized the ministry’s ongoing efforts to sustain industrial dynamism by establishing new factories, modernizing existing ones, and upgrading machinery. The initiative aims to encourage industrial entrepreneurs to enhance product quality and further contribute to the nation’s economic growth.

Under the leadership of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, Bangladesh is progressing toward becoming a developed country. Over the past decade, the country has achieved unprecedented infrastructural development.

Zakia Sultana, Senior Secretary of the Industries Ministry, highlighted the government’s support for creative activities and innovation. She believes that these industry awards will promote national economic progress by encouraging entrepreneurs.
