Natore, Nov 10 (V7N) — Mir Mahbubur Rahman Snigdha, twin brother of Shaheed Mir Mughd, urged a national political change and called for youth leadership under BNP Acting Chairman Tarique Rahman at a meeting in Alaipur, Natore on Monday (November 10) afternoon.

Speaking as the chief guest at a view‑sharing meeting held at the district BNP office, Mir Snigdha said the country must be freed from what he described as the “fascist regime” created by Sheikh Hasina, and that Tarique Rahman is preparing a youth‑led plan to reshape the nation. He said the youth should be brought to the forefront of leadership because “only the youth can change the future of this country.”

Snigdha praised Tarique Rahman’s efforts to promote young leaders and outlined a vision to build the “dream country of the July martyrs” if the plan is implemented with broad cooperation. He also urged party members to uphold the ideals of BNP founder President Ziaur Rahman and to work together to create a renewed, multi‑party democratic Bangladesh.

Accusing the current administration of long‑running oppression, Mir Snigdha said BNP faced intense persecution over the past 17 years and recalled the sacrifices of those who died in the July mass uprising, calling for a political turnaround in response to those losses. He vowed to help return Begum Khaleda Zia and Tarique Rahman to power in the next election.

The meeting was presided over by District BNP Convener Rahim Newaz and moderated by former joint convener Farhad Ali Dewan Shahin. Speakers included District BNP Joint Convener Saiful Islam Aftab, District Jubo Dal President A. Hai Talukder Dalim, Swechchhasebak Dal Convener Sanwar Hossain Tushar, and District Chhatra Dal President Kamrul Islam.
