Dhaka, Jan 16 (V7N)-The Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) has issued traffic advisory, requesting the general public to avoid certain roads due to the upcoming MBBS admission test, scheduled for Friday at 10:00am.
This request was made in a public notice signed by DMP Commissioner Sheikh Md Sajjat Ali on Thursday.
The notice stated that the MBBS admission test for government medical colleges for the academic year will be held simultaneously at 19 designated centers, including 18 government medical colleges and one dental college.
In the Dhaka Metropolitan area, the test will take place at a total of 16 venues, specifically: the Faculty of Arts, Faculty of Business Studies, and Faculty of Social Sciences at Dhaka University; Udayan Higher Secondary School (Dhaka University Campus); Engineering University School and College (Buet Campus); Begum Badrunnesa Government College; Dhaka Medical College; Viqarunnisa Noon School and College (New Bailey Road); Siddheswari Girls' College (New Bailey Road); Sher-e-Bangla Agricultural University (Agargaon); Dhaka Residential Model College (Agargaon); Government Mohammadpur Model School and College; Sher-e-Bangla Nagar Government Girls' High School; Eden Mohila College; Government Bangla College (Mirpur); and Government Titumir College (Mohakhali).
The notice further mentioned that, due to the examination, roads leading to the exam centers, especially those near Dhaka University and Buet, Bailey Road, Moghbazar-Kakrail Road, New Market-Azimpur Road, Rokeya Sarani, Mirpur Bangla College, and Government Titumir College, may experience increased traffic. The general public is advised to avoid these roads as much as possible.
