Dhaka, Apr 24 (V7N)- The Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) has arrested four individuals and seized a large quantity of liquor following a raid at Tiger Bar, located in Abdullahpur, Uttara, in the capital.
The operation was conducted around 9 PM on Wednesday (April 23), during which RAB officers searched three floors of a five-story building. A significant amount of liquor, mostly foreign brands, and beer cans were recovered from the premises.
According to RAB, the bar had been operating illegally for a long time, without any valid license.
“There was no customs clearance or any documentation from the Department of Narcotics Control for importing or selling foreign liquor,” said a RAB official.
While the owner of the bar managed to flee upon sensing the presence of law enforcement, four individuals including the manager and cashier were arrested during the four-hour raid.
RAB stated that legal action would be taken against the arrested individuals, and efforts are underway to locate and apprehend the bar’s fugitive owner.
