Dhaka, Nov 25 (V7N) – A fire has erupted in the Karail slum in the capital. Three units of the Fire Service and Civil Defence are currently working to control the blaze, while eight more units are on the way.

The Fire Service received the report at 5:22 pm on Tuesday, confirmed Rashed Bin Khalid, duty officer at the control room.

At this time, the cause of the fire and the extent of the damage remain unknown.

Karail slum has experienced multiple fires in recent years. On February 22, 10 fire units controlled a blaze that destroyed 61 houses, while a previous fire occurred on December 18, 2024.
