A gas cylinder explosion on DIT Road in Dhaka's Badda area early Thursday morning killed one person and injured another.

The explosion occurred around 6:43 am on the ground floor of a three-storey building. The identities of the victims remain unknown.

Two units from the Baridhara Fire Station quickly responded and extinguished the fire. Talha bin Jashim, a fire service station officer, stated that the exact cause of the explosion will be determined after an investigation, with initial suspicions pointing to a gas cylinder leakage.
