Dhaka, Apr 24 (V7N)- The Bangladesh Meteorological Department has announced that there is little chance of rain across the country until April 27, with warm temperatures likely to persist during this period.
Meteorologist Bazlur Rashid, speaking on behalf of the department on Thursday morning, said that although April typically brings higher temperatures, this year’s average is expected to be lower than in previous years.
“There’s no immediate possibility of significant rainfall before Sunday. However, from April 28 onwards, rain may occur in different regions, potentially causing a drop in temperature,” he said.
He further mentioned that while May temperatures may rise slightly compared to the current conditions, they are still expected to remain within a tolerable range.
The Meteorological Department also ruled out the threat of any major storms in the near future.
Citizens have been advised to stay hydrated, avoid prolonged exposure to the sun, and take necessary precautions as the heatwave-like conditions are expected to continue for the next few days.
