Dhaka, Sep 25 (V7N) – The Bangladesh Supreme Court has introduced a helpline to assist complainants and service seekers facing challenges while accessing services from the court's registry.
Public Relations Officer Md Shafiqul Islam announced the launch through a circular issued on Wednesday. According to the notification, the helpline number, +8801316154216, will provide advice and information to individuals experiencing difficulties in obtaining services from any branch of the Supreme Court Registry.
The helpline will be managed by an officer from the Supreme Court Registry and will operate from Sunday to Thursday, between 10 AM and 4 PM, excluding public holidays.
This initiative follows a 12-point directive from Chief Justice Syed Refaat Ahmed, issued on September 18, aimed at enhancing transparency and accountability among Supreme Court officials. The directives include speeding up service delivery, eliminating financial transactions in official duties, avoiding unnecessary delays, and ensuring empathy towards service recipients.
The helpline is part of the court's broader efforts to streamline its services and improve access for those seeking justice.
