Dhaka, Aug 25 (V7N) – The eighth day of testimony in the crimes against humanity case against former Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, former Home Minister Asaduzzaman Khan Kamal, and three others is scheduled to begin today (Monday) at the International Crimes Tribunal-1, presided over by Justice Md. Golam Mortuza Majumder.

So far, 19 witnesses have testified in the case. On Sunday, three individuals, including Assistant Professor Md. Rajibul Islam of the Forensic Department at Rangpur Medical College, gave their testimony.

Rajibul Islam told the court that he conducted the autopsy on Abu Sayeed, the first martyr of the July Movement, confirming that he died of internal bleeding caused by police firing. He added that the police rejected his report on three occasions, pressuring him to alter the findings. “We were threatened, offered foreign trips to Singapore and Thailand, and pressured to change the report,” he said, noting that demands for accountability were made against Sheikh Hasina, Asaduzzaman Khan Kamal, Obaidul Quader, and the police.
