Dhaka, Oct 12 (V7N) – The final arguments in the crimes against humanity case filed against Sheikh Hasina and three others begin today (Sunday, October 12) before the International Crimes Tribunal-1.
On the first day of the hearing, the prosecution will begin presenting its arguments, followed by the defense arguments from Sheikh Hasina’s lawyers. After both sides conclude, the prosecution will deliver a rebuttal, marking the end of the hearing phase. The case will then move to the verdict stage after several days of arguments.
Meanwhile, the tribunal has announced that the prosecution’s opening arguments will be broadcast live today on the prosecution’s official Facebook page and Bangladesh Television (BTV).
Earlier, on Wednesday, the cross-examination of the 54th and final witness, Investigation Officer Md. Alamgir, was completed. Following this, the three-member bench of International Crimes Tribunal-1, headed by Justice Md. Golam Mortuza Majumder, scheduled Sunday for the commencement of the arguments.
