Cox’s Bazar, Feb 11, (V7N) – In a series of separate operations, the Tourist Police of Cox's Bazar Region arrested five robbers while they were robbing tourists at the Cox's Bazar sea beach.
 
The arrests took place on Monday, February 10, in the morning and afternoon.
 
The arrested individuals are: Mansur Alam (22), son of Shamsul Alam from Baharchhara Union of Teknaf and a resident of Cox's Bazar's Pahartali area; Mo. Sohel (20), son of late Nur Mohammad from the East Lighthouse area of Cox's Bazar city; Nurul Alam (26), son of Syed Alam from Kochpara, Chakaria; Din Islam (20), son of Korban Ali from Badshar Gona, Ward 9 of Cox's Bazar Municipality; and Idris (32), son of the late Zahid Alam from Ward 12 of Cox's Bazar Municipality.
 
The information was confirmed by the Additional DIG of Cox's Bazar Tourist Police, Appel Mahmud.
 
He stated that the robbers had held a group of tourists at gunpoint, stealing their money and mobile phones. Upon receiving the news, the Tourist Police quickly launched an operation, successfully arresting all five robbers in separate raids. A mobile phone and cash were recovered during the operation.
 
Regarding the worsening law and order situation at the beach, he emphasized that criminals will have no place in the tourist zone. The Tourist Police is committed to ensuring that tourists can visit Cox's Bazar peacefully.

In response to the growing concerns about crime at the tourist destination, the Additional DIG of Cox's Bazar Tourist Police, Appel Mahmud, assured the public that the police were working relentlessly to curb crime in the tourist zones. He stressed that criminals will have no place in Cox's Bazar, emphasizing that the region must remain a safe, peaceful place for tourists to visit. "We want to ensure that tourists can enjoy their time in Cox's Bazar without fear," he said.
 
The arrests are part of ongoing efforts by the Tourist Police to ensure the safety and security of both local and international tourists visiting the famous beach area.
