Pabna, Oct 8 (V7N) – The body of a 40-year-old man, identified as Swadhin Sarkar, was discovered hanging in a room at Hotel Royal Palace on Abdul Hamid Road in Pabna on Wednesday morning. Police recovered the body after hotel staff noticed he did not respond to calls and raised the alarm.

Swadhin, a resident of Kazipur, Gozail village in Sirajganj Sadar, was the son of Gazi Shahjahan. According to local sources and police, Swadhin had checked into the hotel on Tuesday afternoon, October 7. When he failed to respond the following morning, hotel staff contacted authorities. Police, with the assistance of locals, entered the room and found him hanging from a ceiling fan using a towel.

Swadhin’s younger brother, Shuvro, said, “He was at home yesterday but left suddenly around noon. When he did not return by evening and his phone was unreachable, we became worried. We suspect this may be related to family issues.”

Officer-in-Charge of Pabna Sadar Police Station, Abdul Salam, confirmed that the body has been sent to Pabna General Hospital morgue for autopsy. He added that legal action will be taken if any foul play is suspected. The investigation into the incident is ongoing.
