Human Trafficker Mafia Milan Matubbar Arrested in Madaripur After News publish on Voice7.
 
Madaripur, July 4 (V7N)- Following a news broadcast on Voice 7 News, police arrested a young man named Milan Matubbar (40) on Wednesday night in Dasar, Madaripur, on charges of human trafficking.
 
According to police and local sources, Rajib Sardar, Arif, and Habib from Baligram area in Dasar Upazila, Madaripur, were lured by Milan with promises of taking them to Italy. Under Milan's orders, they were taken to a detention camp in Libya, where they were tortured for money. 
 
Milan extorted TK 4.5 million from the three families through repeated tortures in Libya. Later, he sold them to another mafia associate in Libya. The young men returned home after paying a ransom of one million Taka. Rajib Hasan filed a case at Dasar Police Station on Tuesday under the Prevention and Suppression of Human Trafficking Act, naming Milan Matubbar, his wife Beauty Begum (30), and his sister Minu Begum as accused. 
 
Milan Matubbar was the main accused. Evidence of monetary transactions involving the victims' money was found in the bank accounts of Milan’s wife and sister.
 
On Wednesday night, Milan Matubbar was arrested from Badarpasha village in Rajair Upazila. Milan is the son of Shaza Matubbar of Badarpasha village.
 
Arif Sardar, one of the victims, said, "We were subjected to inhumane torture in Libya. Our bodies were rotting due to the torture. We were not given proper food. Milan Matubbar extorted TK 4.5 million from our families in phases. Investigation revealed that Milan had detained multiple youths in Libya to extort ransom. 
 
He even sold them to his associates after collecting ransom." As news of Milan Matubbar's arrest spread, several victims rushed to Dasar Police Station demanding justice and calling for Milan's execution. The victimized families expressed their gratitude to Voice7 News for broadcasting the news.
 
Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Dasar Police Station S.M. Shafiqul Islam said, "Milan Matubbar has been arrested in a case under the Prevention and Suppression of Human Trafficking Act. The arrested accused has been sent to jail through the court on Wednesday (July 3).
