Dhaka, Sep 22 (V7N) – Zahid Faruk, the former state minister for the Water Resources Ministry, was arrested this evening in the Baridhara area of the capital.
ANM Emran Khan, assistant director of the RAB Legal and Media wing, confirmed the arrest to Media.
Following Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina's resignation on August 5 amid a student-led mass uprising, she fled to India. Since the fall of the Awami League government, numerous former ministers, state ministers, members of parliament, and leaders from the Awami League and its coalition partners have been detained.
