Khagrachari, Oct 21 (V7N)– In observance of Safe Road Day, a rally and discussion meeting was held in Khagrachari with the theme "Students pledge, safe road for all." The event aimed to raise awareness about road safety and the importance of ensuring safe travel for everyone.

The rally commenced from Shapla Chattar and proceeded through the town before concluding in front of the Khagrachari Journalists Union office. A discussion meeting followed, held at the same office, with prominent local figures participating.

Journalist Pradeep Chowdhury, president of the Khagrachari District Committee for Safe Roads, presided over the meeting, while Ismail Hossain Sabuj, the Zonal Manager of National Insurance Company, attended as the chief guest. Other notable attendees included General Secretary Md. Dulal Hossain, Vice President Pramod Bikas Tripura, Deputy Inspector of Sadar Police Station Amir Hossain, and Saifuddin Abu Ansari Mithu.

During the discussion, speakers emphasized the need for collective effort to prevent road accidents. They urged everyone to cooperate in ensuring road safety, so that no lives are lost due to preventable traffic incidents.
