Mongla, Oct 25 (V7N)- Cyclone Dana has had minimal impact on Mongla and its surrounding areas, as the weather has returned to normal since Friday morning. The sky over Mongla port and adjacent coastal regions has cleared, with sunny conditions contributing to rising temperatures. No rain or wind has been reported so far, but local authorities are maintaining local warning signal No. 3 at Mongla seaport as a precaution.

Despite the current calm, Md Harun Or Rashid, in charge of the Mongla Meteorological Office, has advised that the weather may change later in the day. While the cyclone is expected to make landfall on the Indian coast, light rainfall may continue in the Mongla area over the next two days due to its residual effects.

Port operations have resumed as normal. Saifur Rahman Bhuia, Harbor Master Commander of Mongla Port Authority, confirmed that the disruption in cargo handling and transportation caused by Wednesday’s rain has been fully resolved. Since Friday morning, foreign commercial ships docked at the port have been able to resume the loading and unloading of goods without further issues.

Authorities continue to monitor the weather and ensure the safety of all port activities as the situation develops.
