Jhalkathi, Nov 19 (V7N)- Pubali Bank, under its social responsibility initiative, distributed and planted 23 fruit and forest trees, including coconut trees, among students of 25 educational institutions in Rajapur upazila.

The distribution ceremony was inaugurated on Tuesday afternoon with the symbolic planting of coconut trees near the Poet Jibanananda Collection Hall by the Dhansindi River.

The event was graced by Ruhul Amin , Deputy General Manager of Pubali Bank and Head of the Barisal Region, as the Chief Guest, while UNO Rahul Chand presided over the ceremony. Among other notable attendees were:
- Assistant Commissioner (Land) Hasan Mohammad Shoaib
- Officer-in-Charge Ismail Hossain
- President of Rajapur Journalist Club Rahim Reza
- Upazila Manager of Pubali Bank Mrinal Kanti Das

This initiative aimed to encourage environmental awareness and sustainability among students. The distributed trees, primarily fruit-bearing and forest varieties, are expected to contribute to environmental enrichment and provide long-term benefits to the schools.

As part of its commitment to community welfare, Pubali Bank also donated two air conditioners to the Upazila Kalyan Club during the event.
