The body of Mostafizur Rahman, a fisherman, was found floating in the Naf River in Ukhiya, Cox's Bazar, by locals. The corpse was found in Ukhiya Palangkhali near the Naf River at approximately ten o'clock on Sunday night (February 18).

Mostafizur Rahman lives in the Pathangkhali Union of Ukhiya Upazila's Ward No. 9 Battali neighborhood. Mustafizur's family claims that on February 1, amid the fighting in Myanmar, BGP members kidnapped him from the Naf River. Mostafizur's relative Joinal Abedin claimed that his father went fishing in the Naf River. He went fishing in the river eighteen days ago during the border war, and a boat from Myanmar took him away. For eighteen days, we heard nothing about him.

On Sunday night, fishermen discovered his body floating in the river.

Zafrul Islam, a Panglakhali Union Parishad member, confirmed the incident by stating that Mostafizur was abducted by several fisherman from the Naf river a few days prior. As of yet, he has not been located. About ten o'clock on Sunday night, fishermen discovered him drifting in the river. After his corpse was found, the police were notified.
