Panchagarh, Dec 18, (V7N) - A Bangladeshi national, Wasim, has been detained by the Indian Border Security Force (BSF) from the Sadar upazila in Panchagarh. Wasim, the son of Rezaul Karim from Senpara area in Amorkhana union, was apprehended by BSF personnel of the 46th Battalion stationed at the Goralbari Camp on Wednesday afternoon. The detainment occurred near the main pillar 746 area of the Senpara border.

According to Shafiqul Islam, commander of the Tokapara Camp of the 56th Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) Battalion in Nilphamari, 4-5 teenagers were attempting to cross into India when Wasim was captured by the BSF. The Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) has called for a flag meeting at the company commander level to discuss the return of the detained youth. Efforts are currently underway to bring Wasim back to Bangladesh.
