Caritas Bangladesh's "BRIDGE Project" Awareness Meeting held in Patuakhali, chaired by Additional District Commissioner Yadab Sarker. The event highlighted the project’s goals and activities aimed at enhancing disaster resilience and inclusion in the region.
Patuakhali, Dec 21,(V7N) – An awareness meeting on the “BRIDGE Project” was held in Patuakhali, organized by Caritas Bangladesh. The event took place at the District Commissioner’s meeting room on Thursday afternoon. The project, titled "Building Resilience and Inclusion in Disaster Governance and Emergency-Bangladesh," is funded by the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID) and will be implemented by Caritas Bangladesh in four upazilas across two districts in the Barishal region.
The meeting was chaired by Additional District Commissioner (General) Yadab Sarker, and Francis Bepare, Regional Director of Caritas Barishal, attended as the special guest. Other attendees included the District Relief and Rehabilitation Officer, District Social Services Deputy Director, representatives from various government departments, NGOs, and members of the print and electronic media.
During the meeting, James Rajib Biswas, the Coordinator of the BRIDGE Project in Kalapara Upazila, conducted the event. Caritas Barishal's Mill and Knowledge Management Specialist Mamun ur Rashid gave a PowerPoint presentation, highlighting the project’s objectives, activities, and goals.
The BRIDGE project aims to build resilience and inclusivity in disaster governance and emergency management to support the vulnerable populations in the region.
