Bagerhat, Jan 20 (V7N) - The Rampal Coal-Based Thermal Power Plant continued its community development efforts by distributing educational materials to students. On Monday morning, 60 students of 'Hudka Jhalmalia Shefalia Secondary School' in Rampal, Bagerhat, received school bags, water bottles, and umbrellas.
The event was attended by Rampal Upazila Executive Officer (UNO) Marufa Begum Nelly as the chief guest. Other notable attendees included Rampal Maitree Ladies Club President Archana Pujari, Bangladesh-India Friendship Power Company Limited General Manager (HR) Mangala Harindran, Deputy General Manager GM Tariqul Islam, Maitree Ladies Club Vice President NL Neeraja, and executive member Akhi Moni.
Speaking at the event, Deputy General Manager GM Tariqul Islam noted that the power plant has distributed educational materials to 2,250 students so far. He assured that all educational institutions in Rampal would gradually benefit from similar distributions.
UNO Marufa Begum Nelly praised the Rampal Thermal Power Plant, stating, "The neglected Rampal is being developed in various ways because of the Rampal Thermal Power Plant. This power plant is playing a unique role in the development of the local community. I hope their development activities will continue in the coming days."
