Dhamrai, Jan 31 (V7N) – Yasin Ferdous Murad, President of the Dhaka District Jubo Dal, has emphasized that the 31-point reform plan announced by BNP Acting Chairman Tarique Rahman is the foundation for state restructuring. He claimed that implementing these reforms would ensure sustainable democracy, freedom of speech, and overall public welfare in Bangladesh.
Murad made these remarks while addressing a public meeting at Khardarchar Bazar Ground in Royal Union, Dhamrai, on Friday. The event, organized by BNP and its affiliated organizations, aimed to raise public awareness about the 31-point reform plan and included a blanket distribution program for the underprivileged, marking the death anniversary of Arafat Rahman Koko.
During his speech, Murad accused the ousted Awami League government of fascism, stating that despite being removed through a long struggle led by BNP, its domestic allies continue to engage in conspiracies. He called for unity to counter such efforts.
"BNP is the most popular party in Bangladesh, and its strength lies in its grassroots support. This is why, despite various efforts, neither the One-Eleven government nor Sheikh Hasina could weaken BNP," said Murad.
He also asserted that BNP, under the leadership of Chairperson Khaleda Zia and Acting Chairman Tarique Rahman, remains well-organized and united, ensuring the party's future strength and stability.
The event was chaired by former senior vice-president of Union BNP Idris Ali and conducted under the guidance of Murad Biswas. Other local BNP leaders, including Wasim Billah, MA Jalil, Abdur Rahman Babul, Khandaker Ayub, Sabina Yasmin, and Asifur Rahman Milon, also addressed the gathering.
