Ukhia (Cox’s Bazar), Mar 12 (V7N) – Central Assistant Secretary General of Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami, Muhammad Shahjahan, has stated that the new generation will not tolerate the resurgence of fascism in any form.
Speaking as the chief guest at an Iftar Mahfil organized by Ukhia Upazila Jamaat at Kotbazar MR Convention Hall on Wednesday afternoon, he claimed that despite the fall of Awami Fascism on August 5, conspiracies to undermine the achieved victory continue. He alleged that the previous dictatorship had destroyed all state institutions, making urgent reforms necessary to ensure a free and fair election. Without these reforms, he warned, fascism could regain a foothold in the country.
Shahjahan also urged the public to remain united and take to the streets in pursuit of establishing Quranic principles in governance. He emphasized the significance of Ramadan, quoting verses from the Quran, and called for unity to uphold justice and righteousness.
The event was presided over by Upazila Ameer Maulana Abul Fazal and moderated by Secretary Maulana Soltan Ahmed. It was attended by District Jamaat Ameer Principal Maulana Nur Ahmed Anwari, former upazila chairman Advocate Shahjalal Chowdhury, Ukhia Upazila BNP Convener Sarwar Jahan Chowdhury, and other local political and religious leaders.
