Natore, Apr 09 (V7N)– The Naldanga Bazar Business Owners Association of Natore held a protest march and rally on Wednesday afternoon, condemning the ongoing Israeli actions and the "brutal massacre of thousands of innocent people" in Gaza, alleging violations of the ceasefire agreement.
"A protest march and rally was held by the Naldanga Bazar Business Owners Association of Natore to protest the Israeli aggression and the brutal massacre of thousands of innocent people in violation of the ceasefire agreement in Gaza," a local organizer reported.
The protest, organized by the Naldanga Bazar Business Owners Association, saw participants march through the main road of Naldanga Bazar before gathering at the Naldanga Municipality intersection for a rally.
"On Wednesday afternoon, a protest march was taken out by the Naldanga Bazar Business Owners Association and circled the main road before assembling at the Naldanga Municipality intersection," a witness at the event stated.
The rally featured addresses from several prominent local figures, including Nasir Uddin Haque, President of the Naldanga Bazar Business Owners Association, Fazlar Rahman, Secretary of Jamaat-e-Islami, Professor Ziaul Haque, Assistant Director of the Bangladesh Workers' Welfare Federation, Rezaul Karim Bari, former Mayor Abbas Ali Nannu, former President of the Municipal BNP, Abdul Hafiz, and businessman Shariful Islam, among others. The speakers united in their demand for an immediate cessation of Israeli aggression and what they described as a massacre in Gaza.
"The rally was addressed by Nasir Uddin Haque, President of the Naldanga Bazar Business Owners Association, Fazlar Rahman, Secretary of Jamaat-e-Islami, Professor Ziaul Haque, Assistant Director of the Bangladesh Workers' Welfare Federation, Rezaul Karim Bari, former Mayor Abbas Ali Nannu, former President of the Municipal BNP, Abdul Hafiz, and businessman Shariful Islam, among others, demanding an end to the Israeli aggression and massacre," a local reporter noted.
Speakers at the rally strongly denounced the ongoing Israeli actions in Gaza, including the indiscriminate killing of civilians, particularly children and women, and the destruction of hospitals and educational institutions. They characterized these actions as a "brutal genocide" and asserted that conscientious individuals worldwide are speaking out against this injustice. The speakers also called for a boycott of all Israeli products as a form of protest and demanded an immediate end to the alleged genocide.
"Speakers at the rally said that the ongoing Israeli aggression in Gaza, the indiscriminate killing of innocent people including children and women, and the destruction of hospitals and educational institutions are the reality of a brutal genocide. Conscientious people of the world have roared against this injustice today. At the same time, the speakers strongly condemned the aggression, including boycotting all Israeli products, and demanded an immediate end to the genocide," the reporter added.
The protest by the Naldanga Bazar Business Owners Association reflects the widespread concern and condemnation of the situation in Gaza across various segments of Bangladeshi society.
