Rangamati, Apr (V7N) - General students of the Bangladesh Sweden Polytechnic Institute (BSPI) in Kaptai, Rangamati, held a sit-in protest and a march with banners and festoons on Sunday (April 20th) morning until noon. The demonstration was organized to protest against a High Court writ verdict concerning unskilled crafts and to advocate for the fulfillment of their 6-point demands.
The protest march, part of a central program, was led by Mohammad Masum, Risad Mahmud, Shahidullah Kaiser, Mojahidur Rahman Nakib, Mohammad Rian, and Habibur Rahman, all students of the 7th semester of BSPI's Electrical Department. Starting from the institution's campus, the march proceeded to Kaptai Log Gate, where students positioned themselves on both sides of the Kaptai-Chittagong road. Over 300 students from the institute participated in the demonstration.
During the protest, the students asserted their unwavering commitment to achieving their demands. In brief speeches, they stated their continued presence in the movement from its inception and vowed to persist until their last breath to realize their goals.
