PABNA, March 27, (V7N) — The admission test for the first‑year ‘C’ unit under the integrated cluster system for the 2025–26 academic session of Pabna University of Science and Technology (PUST) was held Friday in a fair and peaceful manner.

The first phase of the three‑phase exam took place from 11 am to 12 pm, with 1,269 candidates scheduled and 997 appearing, marking an attendance rate of 78.57 percent. The admission test for ‘B’ unit will be held on April 3, followed by ‘A’ unit on April 10.

The university administration, with support from the district and police authorities, ensured smooth conduct of the examination. Pro‑Vice Chancellor Professor Dr. Md. Nazrul Islam and Treasurer Professor Dr. Md. Shamim Ahsan monitored the test centers throughout the day, expressing satisfaction with the arrangements.

Facilities included clear room identification, uninterrupted power supply, fire service readiness, and round‑the‑clock medical teams. Parents were accommodated in university sheds with access to drinking water.

Deputy Vice‑Chancellor Professor Dr. Md. Nazrul Islam said the exam was part of the cluster system involving 20 universities nationwide. He expressed gratitude to teachers, students, officials, employees, government stakeholders, and the people of Pabna for their cooperation.

PUST authorities noted that while exams for ‘C’ and ‘B’ units will be held only at the university, the ‘A’ unit (Science) exam on April 10 will also take place at five other centers in Pabna city, including Textile Engineering College, Shaheed M Mansur Ali College, Pabna District School, Government Girls High School, and Imam Ghazali School and College.

All exams will run from 11 am to 12 noon, except for applicants to the architecture department, whose test will be held from 3 pm to 4 pm on April 10.
