Bagerhat, June 12 (V7N) – Dr. A.B.M. Obaidul Islam, Education Secretary of the Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) Central Committee and Vice Chancellor of Bangladesh Open University, delivered a strong message against injustice during a public meeting and discussion in the Bagerhat-4 constituency (Morelganj-Sharankhola) on Tuesday.
"Injustice is never permanent," Dr. Islam declared, speaking as the chief guest at a discussion meeting following a public gathering at Morelganj Municipal Market. He drew a historical parallel, stating, "If injustice was permanent, Sheikh Hasina would not have run away with only four bags. Untruth does not last long with lies." He continued, emphasizing the moral high ground: "We want to say that the path of justice is the right path, injustice must be hated. If there are wrongdoers in my party, they must be confronted with courage."
Earlier on Tuesday at noon, Dr. Islam engaged in mass contact, exchanging greetings with traders and businessmen along various roads of the municipal city, starting from the Nabbairashi bus stand. Following this interaction, he addressed a brief road meeting at the Bazar Chowrasta intersection.
His visit to the constituency also included separate Eid reunions and public relations events with BNP leaders in Teligati, Panchakaran, and Balibunia unions on Monday.
Dr. Islam was accompanied by a delegation of BNP and affiliated organization leaders, including Tanti Dal Central Committee Senior Joint Convener Dr. Kazi Moniruzzaman Monir, District BNP Member Kazi Monirul Haque Faraji, Muktijuddhar Projanmo Dal Central Committee General Secretary Md. Ibrahim Hossain, Former Municipal BNP Member Secretary Principal Jahangir Al Azad, Senior Joint Convener Abdul Awal, Upazila Jubo Dal Member Secretary BM Rezaul Karim Sohag, Municipal Jubo Dal Convener Mizanur Rahman Palash, BNP Leader Adv. Mehedi Hasan Iyad, Municipal Mohila Dal President Mukta Khanam Mahmuda, Bahrbunia Union BNP Former Vice President Ahmed Gaus, Upazila Chhatra Dal President Md. Abu Saleh, and Chhatra Dal Leader Sajal Bepari.
