Rangamati, Oct 23 (V7N) – Rangamati district marked Safe Roads Day 2025 with a series of activities including a rally, a discussion session, and free helmet distribution for motorcyclists under the theme “Follow the Law, Build a Smart Bangladesh.”
The event commenced at 10:00 am at the District Commissioner’s Conference Hall, jointly organized by the Bangladesh Road Transport Authority (BRTA), the Road Transport and Highways Division, and the District Administration. The discussion session was presided over by Additional District Commissioner (General) Md. Saiful Islam, with District Commissioner Mohammad Habib Ullah (Maruf) attending as the chief guest.
Other notable attendees included Additional Superintendent of Police Jasim Uddin, Rangamati Municipal Administrator Mohammad Mobarak Hossain, Executive Engineer Sabuj Chakma from the Roads and Highways Department, and BRTA Assistant Director Md. Salah Uddin, along with other officials and dignitaries.
Earlier, at 9:30 am, a colorful rally was organized from Happy Morh area to the District Commissioner’s office. Following the discussion, over a hundred motorcyclists received free helmets distributed by BRTA, the Road Transport and Highways Division, and the District Roads and Highways Department.
The initiative aims to promote road safety awareness and encourage compliance with traffic laws among local residents.
